“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response.

In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

About Amy

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have been practicing since 1998.  I have great passion for what I do and truly love my job.  Most clients tell me that they find me especially compassionate, open, and accepting.  I am directive in my approach and try to let my clients know exactly what I’m thinking.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to discover what it is that you want to change in your life and figure out what approach will work best for you.

I draw primarily from attachment theory to help understand patterns of behavior and have an eclectic approach that includes interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. I am also a certified trauma therapy specialist.

I offer both in person and telehealth appointments. I also belong to PSYPACT and can see clients who live in other states who are participating members of this interstate compact group. If you are using insurance and are out of state, they may not cover services. Please check with your insurance for eligibility.
